Please join me and Jacqui Stewart Lindstrom for the opening reception for “Of the Earth” Friday, Dec 6, 5-7:30pm at the Welcome Gallery. I’ll have 6 large canvases and 7 smaller works on wood panel, all hand-framed by Chris Yates in local maple or walnut, as well as some works on paper. Drinks & hors d’oeuvres provided with an artist talk at 6pm.

The natural world is a system in which nothing is wasted, everything is redeemed, death recycled back into life. Using materials of the earth in a way that is harmonious with this, caring for them is vital for a just and sustainable society. It is this understanding that shapes the sculptural work and abstract landscape paintings in “Of the Earth. “
